This is Bella!! She is a Labrador and has come to visit from Northern Ireland. Her foster family have grown very attached to her and will be sad to say goodbye!! She keeps them very busy and demands walks everyday.
Guess who celebrated his birthday with his twin sister. They baked their first birthday cake and I think they did an amazing job. This should become a yearly tradition :) They have been getting lots of exercise on the trampoline and by following Joe Wicks pe lessons. He has also been practicing his flute and entered an on line competition that his Flute Teacher recommended and got a nice certificate which he was delighted with! Congratulations! Maybe you could play a tune for me when we return to school?
Look who has been busy in the kitchen making French toast. He would like to b a chef some day. I will be visiting his restaurant when it opens. :) This class member went for a 5 km run on Friday. When he returned, he still had the energy to shoot some hoops. I am loving this picture !! It shows your sheer concentration. I hope you scored! Look who has been in touch to say he is missing us all :( He is working away with his homework and getting out for lots of runs. He is very lucky to be pet sitting a relative's dog who is demanding regular walks. Maybe you could send us a photo ? I would love to see him. I have received two entries to our handwriting competition. Thank you. Closing date is Friday :)
You can email them to [email protected]. Thank you to everyone who engaged with the homework this week and kept me updated by email. This class member has been busy reading, looking after his little sister and he also made an amazing minion with his Dad. You will have to bring him to school to show me when you return. Great teamwork!! :) Here is another busy lad. When he wasn't doing his homework he was out for walks getting lots of fresh air and exercise. He has been building lego, drawing and keeping in touch with his Granny everyday over telephone. She has been helping him with his Irish homework. Well done Granny :) I feel she deserves an honorary dojo point when we return :) I am delighted to hear you have started learning to play the guitar !! Perhaps you could accompany me on the fiddle some day? I took on the task this week of painting my garden fence. I am on my 4th bucket of paint and I am still not finished. It is taking a lot longer than I had anticipated. Maybe I will get it completed tomorrow. Next task- mow the lawn :) If you would like me to post anythin on our blog you can email it to
[email protected] Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sun!!!! These brothers celebrated their birthdays on 1st April . They had a super family day. The cake looked yummy :) They baked some lovely treats for Easter- cupcakes and donuts and enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt. I really hope you kept me a cupcake! He has also been getting lots of exercise following the Joe Wicks PE lessons. It looked tough! He has been keeping busy playing games with his brothers, building tents and skidding down the water slide. Finally, the family have been praying everyday that we will all stay safe during this virus. Well done boys!
Welcome to our new class blog
I have designed this blog to be able to keep in touch with my 23 wonderful boys. I hope you are all keeping safe, washing hands, being socially distant and being RESPECTFUL and HELPFUL to your parents. This is a perfect time to practise a new skill. Maybe you could learn the tin whistle, try to bake something or create a new invention. I am missing you all so much and I would love to see all the lovely work you are doing at home. Please take lots of photos of anything you are passing your time doing, e.g reading, writing, art, cooking, pe, dancing :) You can email them to [email protected]. Please include your name so that the correct teacher receives them. I will be handing out lots of dojo points when we meet again :) I might even post some photos of what I am spending my time at here in Castleblayney. This is a hard time for all of us. We have never experienced anything like it before and we are all missing our hobbies- football, GAA, golf, lifeguard training, drama and music clubs. I'm really missing my dancing but we can keep practising these at home. We all thoroughly enjoyed reading Kensuke's kingdom and I keep thinking about it now. Michael survived on an island for a whole year with only Stella and the orang utans for company!! Maybe you could write your own diary entry about living through covid 19 and social distancing? It would be lovely to look back on and read when this is long forgotten about. Looking forward to receiving lots of updates. See you all soon. Take care, Miss Smyth |
